Anne Heche “Not Expected to Survive”

After a car accident in Los Angeles on Friday, the star was taken to the hospital and is now in a coma.

Anne Heche's team gave a new update on her health on Thursday, saying that she has a severe anoxic brain injury and is "not expected to survive."

According to the statement, sent from Heche’s publicist to The Hollywood Reporter, the star remains in a coma and in critical condition.

Heche is known for movies like "I Know What You Did Last Summer" and "Six Days, Seven Nights." She has also appeared on TV shows like "Men in Trees" and "Hung."

“She has a significant pulmonary injury requiring mechanical ventilation and burns that require surgical intervention,” the statement at that time read

As soon as people heard about the accident, many of Heche's fans and people who knew her posted messages of support for the actress on social media.
